Tools for Applying
Adobe Reader is required for most applications.

Some programs have an electronic application. The Online Application Guideline gives line by line instructions. We suggest downloading, printing out, or keeping the file open while you complete it.
Recommendation/Reference Letters
The only requirements for letters of recommendation are that they be on university (or other institution) letterhead, give the full name of the applicant, and have an original signature.

Optional: If your referee requests more information, you can refer them to this form to either fill out or use as a guideline for their letter. We find that most North American referees write sufficient letters even without this form.

Gutachten (.doc)
Gutachten (.pdf)
Language Evaluation Form
Sprachzeugnis is required for the following programs. It might print out with the online application form or you can also download it here. Please have your German language professor or instructor complete it on your behalf; if you have no German language skills whatsoever and your work in Germany does not require it, you should still include the form in your application but write "no German" on it (in your own hand).
